Application Engineer Automation and Robotics (m/f/d)

The focus of the job is on the planning, implementation and commissioning of automation and robotics projects. This includes the optimization of PLC programs, error analysis and the support of systems both on site and at the customer’s premises.

What you need to bring (must-haves):

  • Completed technical studies (FH/university), state-certified technician or comparable relevant professional experience
  • Ability to read and interpret circuit diagrams and technical drawings
  • Written and spoken English
  • Independent, team-oriented and reliable way of working and hands-on mentality
  • Occasional willingness to travel

An advantage (nice-to-have):

  • Experience with control technology, PLC programming (e.g. Siemens TIA Portal, Beckhoff TwinCAT) or
    robotics (e.g. FANUC, ABB, KUKA, YASKAWA)
  • Knowledge of software development (e.g. C#, C++, Python)
  • Experience in the commissioning of machine and control systems

These are your tasks:

  • Close cooperation with the team in the planning, conception and implementation of interdisciplinary projects in the fields of
    mechanical engineering, automation and robotics
  • Commissioning and support of automation systems at the Eichenzell site and occasionally at customers
    of WASSERMANN GROUP GmbH
  • Optimization of PLC programs and processes; troubleshooting and fault rectification
  • Continuous further development of own know-how through trade fairs, training courses and cross-departmental cooperation
