Development of a modular, automatable post-processing system for production lines of high-precision components, consisting of cleaning, drying, and quality assurance modules

WASSERMANN TECHNOLOGIE GmbH specializes, among other things, in contract and system manufacturing of high-precision components (HPB) for demanding industries, as well as in industrial automation solutions developed in-house. In the strategically important HPB division, WASSERMANN carries out series production orders, for example, for the semiconductor industry, optoelectronics, vacuum, and cleanroom applications. Of particular importance in terms of quality is the post-processing of components, which consists of cleaning, drying, and quality verification.

The goal of the project is to use the co-financed ERDF grant of approximately 360T€ to develop the foundation for a modular, scalable, and fully automated post-treatment system that can be integrated into HPB manufacturing. Based on detailed analyses of typical contaminants from the HPB sector and process matching, suitable cleaning process steps, component drying, and quality assurance be combined in such a way that the extremely high quality requirements of various high-precision industries are met and the degree of automation in the post-treatment process is significantly increased. This is intended to make the process more efficient, stable, cost-effective, resource-efficient, and reliable.
