As part of the MODUS R&D project, a multi-functional, modular intralogistics system for production environments is to be further developed and tested in practice with the help of co-financed ERDF funding of around €409 thousand. By combining innovative mechatronics and digital control, the patented technology that forms the basis of the system enables flexible adaptation to a wide range of production conditions. Previous tests with MODUS modules in a laboratory environment show the great potential of the development: compared to competing solutions, MODUS can increase production output by up to 20%, reduce energy consumption by up to 15%, cut production costs by up to 20% and achieve space savings of up to 50%.
